Corrantaf - Luxury Holiday Home for let - Laugharne, South Wales

Things to Do

The level of tourism in this part of the Wales is very low in comparison with The South West of England. Yet it offers a coastline and environment that is almost identical to Devon and Cornwall, and one of the major benefits is the lack of traffic jams, crowded beaches, and the associated commercialism. Nevertheless, there are many places of interest to visit for all tastes, including:

  • Oakwood Theme Park – all the thrills of a full theme park, including Megaphobia (the highest wooden “coaster” in the UK), Speed and Drench.
  • The Dan yr Ogof National Show Caves of Wales – awe-inspiring caves, plus Dinosaur Park, Shire Horses, Iron Age Farm, and Museum
  • Folly Farm – meet the farm animals, see the sheep dogs in action, visit the zoo and enjoy the adventure playground.
  • Pemberton Chocolate Farm
  • Castles - apart from Laugharne Castle, Llanstephan Castle and Kidwelly Castle are within a short distance
  • Botanic Gardens of Wales
  • Gwili Steam Railway – a full gauge steam railway on part of the original British rail line from Carmarthen to Aberystwyth
  • Pembrey Country Park
